We see here Ezrah Mayise, third class creche teacher, proudly showing off her newly earned certificate. She attended pre-school training at Esikhaweni, one week during holidays and one week leave-of-absence from work. ... and all the good stuff she gleaned from the course, she generously shared with her colleagues, spreading her new-found wealth of knowledge, to the benefit of the little ones and increasing skills with the staff. The Department of Social Development have decided that all five-year-olds have to attend grade R at school, that is a pre-school class. This means that we in 2018 will still have three classes, but then divided into three year-levels : two-year-olds in class 1, three-year-olds in class 11, and four-year-olds in class 111. Then, gradually, all creche teachers will be required to have level IV of training.

No, not quite like this... this is after all the 21st century and we, do, for the most, cook on gas! Thought I'd share with my readers two favourites - chakalaka, served as a tasty side with a BBQ, the other a quick and easy treat called vetkoek. I believe these both come from the 'boer' tradition (South African farmers). CHAKALAKA
