THE HOSPICE
The project has a 12-bed hospice on the site for both terminal patients and the elderly in need of daily care. This work is shared by 2 cooks and 20 hand-picked volunteers who are caregivers from the greater Endlovini area.
Women trained in home-based health care do volunteer work in the Endlovini community. They visit homes, caring for the sick, providing information and advice, striving to create a greater awareness of good hygiene routines.
We are affiliated to HPCA Hospice Palliative Care Association, so far not with monetary support. We do do however receive weekly support visits from a registered nurse.
More than 60% of our income comes from voluntary donations. We rely on donations from people like you, organisations and businesses to ensure our patients have the best Hospice Care available.
We repeatedly beseech the Department of Health in South Africa to fund this important and necessary work - so far to no avail.
